Peer Review Policy
Iraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (IJCPE) operates double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts to IJCPE will be essential evaluated by the editor for the journal’s suitability. If the submitted manuscript passed the essential evaluation of IJCPE, the manuscript will be sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to evaluate the quality of scientific content of the manuscript. The handling editor has the responsibility of the final decision for the manuscript(s) regarding acceptance or rejection.
The handling editors will not be involved in the review process and initial or final decisions on the manuscripts which they have contributed or have been written by colleagues or family members or which relate to products or services in which the editor has an interest. All submissions are subjected to the usual procedures of IJCPE, with peer review handled independently of the relevant editor.
At revision stage, the submitted manuscript may send back to the corresponding author to complete notes that have been written by the reviewers. The final decision for the revised manuscript “acceptance or rejection” will be pointed during the periodical editorial meeting. Upon acceptance, the manuscript will be hold in the copy-editing queue. When the copy-editing is completed, the final version of the manuscript will be checked by the editor and then send for publication.
